Baby snappers

I saved these three babies from some crows. The Turtles were just coming out of the nest.

Nice pics. So are they alligator snappers? As a kid, I used to mistake common snappers for the desired alligators (because both have that jagged/rough look when really young... I think).

But great pics!

These are just plain snapping turtles not the alligator type. I had been watching the area for a while and earlier in the spring a red squirrel had been digging up nests and eating the eggs.
