Injured * Garter Snake *

Hi everyone,
my son found a Garter Snake about 2 weeks ago and brought her home..
It looked to me like someone either tried to kill her or she got squished since she has a bump on her body..I nursed her back with putting a thin layer of Neosporn on twice a day..It is no more an open wound now, pretty good healed, but the bump remained.
I have been trying to feed her Earthworms and Bugs, but she does not eat,she certainly drinks water..
Any ideas what I can feed her??
She is pretty friendly and I am sure she would not survive outside b/c of that injury..
TIA
Susanne(SUE)
I can take pictures of the wound if someone wants to see..Never seen such a thing before...

Go to the pet shop and get feeder fish and put them in its water dish. I don't know any garters that eat bugs, just worms, toads, frogs, fish.

Or go to the supermarket and get a whiting filet @$2.99 lb. and slice it up and put it on a plate in the tank.

PS, slice up like 3 strips and put in the tank, keep the rest in fridge. Don't know about the bump. I've still got a chigger bite scar from 10 years ago.
