vivarium mold how do I get rid of it???

Hi all! I have a viv that was custom built. It has live plants and that means that of course it has soil in the bottom. I want to put live animals in it (a Chinese Water Dragon to be exact) but I have noticed that on the glass in the front of the tank there seems to be some mold growing where the soil covers the glass. How do I get rid of this? Will this hurt the Chinese water dragon? What caused this in the first place??? Help!!!

What color is it? Do you have a picture you could post? If it's on the glass, it seems more likely to me that it would be algae, but I could be wrong. You might find someone who has a better idea on the Terrariums Forum.

Actually it was small and yellowish in color. I scraped all that I saw off. I found two small mushrooms that were also yellow in color. I of course took them out of the viv ASAP. I have no pet currently living in the viv so I have also put in some sow bugs. Not sure when I will be getting another Chinese Water Dragon but I will keep an eye out so this problem doesn't recur. The mushrooms seem to confirm that this isn't algae. Not sure what it is but hopefully with the change in bedding/soil and the removal of the existing spores it has been taken care of.
