A question.

| I just rescued a 4' completely albino garter snake from in back of our neighbor ladies dryer. Are they common in the wild or did someones pet get loose. I didn't seem afraid of me when I caught it or perhaps it doesn't see well. I like most snakes but have never seen a totally albino one before. |

| Albino anything doesn't last long in the wild due to it's lack of natural camouflage and usually taken out early by predators (or some idiot who wants to boast that he shot a white deer because of the "challenge"). I suspect an escaped pet. Maybe post it in your area for a possible owner. "Lost a snake, call me at . . . " Then when they call, ask what color. If they say all white (like who else but the owner would say that?), then you get 2 karma points for reuniting it. |
