My wife found this snake or rather the dogs found this snake prompting my wife to find it. I have no idea what kind it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Found on the coast of Alabama

Harmless rodent eating species ... "corn snake" is common name.

Next time, don't kill the snake, teach the wife and dogs to leave them alone.

Corn Snake. Harmless and nonvenomous.
