| I posted this photo on the Wildlife forum, and someone suggested posting it here, also. It's a Black Rat snake killing a Copperhead. The Copperhead's mouth can be seen on the right. I checked on the BR snake about 2 hours later, it was stretched out - all 4' of it - and the front half of its body was much larger in diameter than the back half. Good snake!!

| Wonderful picture! One small correction..the snake eating the copperhead is a Black King Snake rather than a Black Rat Snake. Truly fantastic picture! Very cool. |

| I did not know there was another snake that could take on a Copper Head. |

| Jem - King snakes are almost completely immune to rattlesnake and copperhead venom, so they hunt them. If you have a healthy population of king snakes, your population of venomous snakes drops. |
