It looks like a musk turtle

Close, but thats actually an eastern mud turtle (Kinosternon subrubrum). While you can't see much, you can see enough of the plastron to know that it is too developed to be Sternotherus.

Thanks, since I saw him enter my pond I have found two more that were in the pond and came up to eat as I was feeding the goldfish and my 2 baby yellow sliders. One is a musk turtle I found in there last year as a new born and the other one -well I will need to get a pic of that one. Thanks again

Quick and easy way to differentiate a musk (sternotherus) from a mud (kinosternon) when you have them in hand is to look at the plastron - if its a tiny plastron that barely covers any of the stomach, its a musk. If it has an extensive plastron with two hinges then its a mud turtle (similar to a box turtle (although box turtles only have a single hinge).
