The shade of tan varies among snakes.

It might also be a baby rat snake or other non-venomous species.

Alright, thanks. I'll pick it up and move it somewhere else on my six acres using gardening gloves, gently of course.

Its a Midland Brown Snake. They are nonvenomous and harmless. The adults are very small (only about 9 to 13 inches long) so it might even be an adult snake.
