Tiny Frogs Around Old Sand Quarry

First post here hope works ok!

Whilst walking around an old sand quarry in cheshire we found hundred of ting frogs on the walkways. We saved as many as we could and put them into the undergrowth.

Question: Where were they going as they had climbed the quarry bank heading towards the forrest?

Thanks hope you enjoy the little video.

They are traveling to saftey.
The underbrush(dead leaves grass etc etc)will protect them and they can forage for food. The quarry is probably exposing them to predators.
