| he keeps shedding and the black part of him is turning a brown red is this bad? |

| No it's not. Shedding frequently means he is quickly growing, and the brown is his tougher adult (land phase) skin replacing his darker juvenile (aquatic) skin. As he gets browner and browner give him more land area to crawl around on. When he fully amtures he will spend a lot more time on land than in the water. Dave |
