| I bought 100 and 180 gallon stock tanks to use as rain barrels. Of course I have tadpoles. I have found several dead froglets. This morning I saw a little green froglet on the side of the tank; he was very cute. Later he was dead. Why are they fine as tadpoles and dying as they are old enough to climb on the side? Do they need shallow water or a ramp to get out of the tank. I do have sticks in there for them to climb on. Since the adults climb on my windows and the side of my house, I thought they could climb out of the tanks. |

| They do need to be able to get out of the tanks. Tadpoles have gills and can breathe underwater. Frogs can't. They can drown..... |
