Made it out today!

| A friend and I decided to get out and do some herping. My friend had not really herped so it was a learning experience for him;therefore, making it more interesting for me. I got to the location we were aiming for and I was really doughting the success of our efforts. It was really hot. Fortunately, while lifting a rock I noticed a red blotched critter. It took all but 3 milliseconds to figure out what it was. A 12 inch recent shed red milk was a nice find. We tired quickly and gave up after a few hours. Our totals were:
4 - Prairie Ring-necked Snakes
1 - Red Milk Snake
4 - Pickerel Frogs
2 - Dwarf American Toads
2 - Five-lined Skinks
2 - Ground Skinks
1 - Northern Spring Peeper
There is still hope for midwestern herpers.

| I was getting ready to post that! We will certainly need some proof that herps can be found during a midwestern summer. : ) |

| Alright! Apparently everyone is ganging up on me. I was planning on throwing up a bunch of random pictures anyway. Give me a couple of days to get school squared away and then I will post the milk among others. This time I will follow through on this. Ryan |
