You guys must see red eared sliders all the time but he's very cute and he's my little guy. He was illegally sold in SC. I wasn't the buyer so remember that before you guys lecture.

I am curious, what was illegal about the transaction? Here im Illinois you may not sell a turtle whose shell is smaller then 3(?) inches for a pet. Pet shops and swaporamas get around that by stating that turtles are not for sale as pets, but for "scientific research" or something similar. It is kinda foolish, kids back in the 70's kept their RES in fish bowls swimming in their own feces, then got salmonella after handling them.
