Strange toad in hydrangea flower

Posted by fowler (My Page) on

Today when picking some semidry hydrangea blossoms, a tiny (3/8") light tan with no markings toad or frog jumped out onto another hydrangea flowers. Do toads actually climb as high as three feet? We rarely have any frogs or toads in our Eastern Long Island zone 6 area anymore. Any information appreciated.

Wood frogs are tan but have a brown msk. They are very common and are fairly good climbers. Go to the enature site and use the zip guide!

Here is a link that might be useful: enature

Might also be a young tree frog.
