snakes out, rabbits in

| I live in the high desert of California. The Mojave Green is the most feared snake out here, but there are others as well. I live on an acre with Hog Pen wire fencing surrounding it. I would like to put something at the bottom that snakes would not cross, such as a heavy duty ring of barbed wire. But there are several rabbits that live next door out in the wild and come through the fence for water or some of my plants when they are really hard up. I dont mind feeding these animals but dont want snakes either. I understand there is no repellant, and was previously under the impression that bark mulch would help deter them but as some photos in this forum prove THAT IS NOT TRUE! Any other suggestions? |

| Anything that a rabbit can or will get through a snake can go through too. The only way to live in the high desert and not have snakes is to move out of the high desert. |
