I'm hoping someone can help ID this little guy/gal. Photographed in a wooded area near a stream at dusk in PA (Pocono Mts.) this month.

Thanks in advance!!

I believe it's a pickerel frog.

Pickerel indeed! Thank you so much!

In confirming ID, I also found a nice resource to help distinguish in from the Leopard Frog. Thought some other folks might also find it useful.

Thanks again!

Pickerel (yours) and leopard frogs were very common in the northeast but vanishing habitat is diminishing their numbers.

The area I was photographing in that weekend (Sept.4-9), there were a LOT of these frogs everywhere. Granted, there was very little human habitation in these areas. The problem with photographing these little guys wasn't finding them as much as getting them to stay still ;)

But, yes, I agree that their habitat is vanishing at an alarming rate.
