What do I do with baby box turtles?

| An Eastern box turtle built its nest in our rose garden and this morning I noticed they are finally hatching. The rose garden is surrounded by scalloped concrete edging that is too high for the baby turtles to clamber over, so I took the one turtle that had hatched and put it in the grass right at the edge of a large patch of ivy. Is this the best place to put them, or would they prefer the wooded garden area? I read you aren't supposed to take them too far from the nest, otherwise I'd bring them over to the main woods which is several blocks away.

| Hm, build a little ramp on the inside for them to get out? Tear up some of the edging? Keep eye on them and transport one by one to the woods? |
