Outstanding set of photos! I really like the cottonmouth on the bluff pictures, the copperhead picture, the full body picture of that gorgeous red milk and the aerial view habitat shot.

Did you see the Red Milk Snake at snake road or in the surrounding area? I'm not asking for specific location, just curious if it was at the bluffs at Larue or elsewhere. I've never seen a Red Milk there.

Thanks,
The red milk was Ryan's find, and yes, we were in the snake road area.

Awesome series of pictures. That milksnake is very, very nice. Especially with that heart-shape on its neck. Your pictures are making me very anxious to get down there?

I also really like that second picture of the green tree frog. Thats an excellent picture. Not that I'm an expert photographer, but I think it could be twice as good if it was cropped tighter so there isnt so much space around the frog and the leaves and twigs around him wouldnt be so distracting. Here's what I mean if you dont mind me doing so.

Anyways, just thought I'd throw that in.

Thanks for posting these pictures. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Are you going down there again this fall?

Thanks for the suggestion it does look alot better. I wish I could go down again, but Ive got college visits and my dad is definitely done with 7 hour drives to southern IL for the year. He wont let me drive down there either...especially not in my car (old geo prism).
