Do you mean how is gardeing useful to herps? Well, for one you can grow greens for iguanas =) Or did you mean to wild herps? Wildflower gardens, hedge rows, native grass stands, rock & water gardens, etc can all provide good herp habitat when kept free of dangerous chemical and machinery used with caution.
