shot down for spreading love

I was in the rocky mountain gardening forum and responded to someone wanting to use roundup on her weeds by mentioning how awful using such chemicals are and they erased my post. Totaly hurt my feelings, brought tears to my eyes. How can my freedom of speach be stifled on the internet?

"They" shan't erase such posts if you make them at the organic gardening snorum.

I guess the how of the stifling lies in the power of he who holds the stifling key. Spiko is 'is name-o. I think in most parts of the web you can rant and rave about round-up to your heart's discontent. Hate the stuff meself.

RE: shot down for spreading love

There are worse ways you could end up in the organic forum. Seems there so much to learn-gardening that is, so jump right in. Hey, if you dont go back to the other forum perhaps others will follow you to the organic forum and hopefully by osmosis, enlightenment, sheer luck they will at least come check out this forum or the organic forums.

welcome

RE: shot down for spreading love

I'm sorry you suffered such a traumatic experience sunshinelovegirl. The others have outlined the perimeter of free speech in cyberspace.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

I am glad that our forum, Sustaining Our Environment, is such a comfort to you, sunshinelovegirl. Non-religous blessings on you, my child.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

so I am oh so sorry to accuse someone of erasing my post when, after I went back to have them squish my heart again, it was still there. BUT they completely attacked me, many times. Oh boo hoo right, but it just made so sad for the ignorant brainwashed fools tromping on our beautiful strong world!

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

There, there....do accept my cyber-hanky. What dastarly black-hearts!

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

Cursed blaggards. Probably they eat doughnuts and commute when not trashing people's sensibilities.

Why can't everyone be like us?

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

Uncaring oafs. I do commiserate and hope you find comfort in our words.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

Can't....take....it....any.....more....Let the floggings commence!

RE: shot down for spreading love

After going over there and reading the thread I think you could have made your "delivery" a bit better. The initial replies didn't seem all that abrasive to me (but I'm used to reading this forum, ha). But since you posted again last nite and mentioned "The Bible" I see some claws coming out in the following posts. No Big fan of round-up here but I will use it sparingly on poison ivy and an occasional dandylion in my driveway. What bothers me about it are the surrounding farmers who defoliate 100s of acres into a brown barron land every spring. Me using a 16oz bottle of RU over 2 years is a long ways from spraying who knows how many 100s of gallons within a mile or two of my well. Don't let them get to you over there, we need some love spreading over here ;o) vgkg

RE: shot down for spreading love

so you guys rock, thank you for lifting my spirits.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

we need to keep in mind there is no free speach on these forums. the monitor of this site can pull any thread that is viewed to be sarcastic, antagonistic, argumentative, political, religious or defamatory of the site itself.

these forums are meant to be happy and on topic...anything less is zapped.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

Heaven forbid there might be an intelligent discussion of a really important subject. Park your emotions, principles and zest for intelligent discussions at the cyber-door.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

If I were intelligent enough to think of merely an important subject - let alone a really important one - I would zestily discuss.

The thing that pops to mind right now is seed storage and perpetuation. If modern energies, devices and transports suffer a break-down, or even a slow-down, the single most important preparedness to my mind is to be amply supplied with vegetable and grain seed. Other factors of agriculture can probably be made do from local sources, but seed-banks of locally appropriate true-breeding varieties are in rare supply.

RE: shot down for spreading love

I went and read the original post as well. Then I added my 2 cents worth.

Howdy, big f.

What do you not give a rip about?

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

Look if someone is trying to "CONVERT" anyone who uses RU you must know you will be GREETED with RESISTANCE......
BOO HOO some one pinched your tail get over it, read instructions, there not going to want to hear what you say over there (rocky mountain gardening forum ) find somewhere they will.

Be a light that shines upon your self.

RE: shot down for spreading love

We have missed your compassionate reactionary-ism, F_er.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

It true Forester...its always refreshing to hear your comments.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

The true question is; is sunshinelovegirl spreading love, or spreading lies?

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

Wow, I haven't been around for awhile, and I think I just stepped into a different dimension. Must be the effects of snorting sheetrock dust. What are you guys partaking of these days?
Be a light that shines upon your self. Hmm, I like that one. Thanks, Forest-er

RE: shot down for spreading love

I've been partaking of unseasonably warm weather (until this week), since the beginning of April. During the first two weeks of the month we've accomplished an entire season of gardening work, removing established shrubs, preparing beds for new plants and began building a retaining wall which we'll finish this week. I'm not too tired to appreciate a shot of cyber love.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

Yeah, Althea, what did you do with that nice weather we were having. I blame you I guess because it comes from your way [the cold]. I wish I can send the extra rain to some parched areas and the cold to the Arctic and perhaps all would be blessed a little bit?

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

Testing, testing; none of my postings today have made the grade apparently to qualify for posting.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

I'm sorry Wayne. Hopefully the snowstorm we're having right now will veer north back to the Arctic.

 o
RE: shot down for spreading love

Wayne,
please send any and all rain to me.
We have had the hottest April (our Autumn/Fall) since 1922, with not a sign of rain.
Temps 25C to 30C (77F to 86F) and no relief in sight.

The only redeeming feature is that I'm still eating home-grown tomatoes, beans, squash, zucchini, capsicums, chillies, corn, basil, watermelons and a couple of others...

If I didn't know any better, I'd say the globe was warming...

Regards,

Shax
