Teaching others to Take Care of Their Share

Hi. I'm a bit of an idealist, but I am trying to start a national campaign called Take Care of Your Share to encourage each property owner to Take Care of Their Share of the environment. I would like to try to encourage every state to create a website that provides information for their citizens about how to make good environmental choices. Right now I have a petition on my website and I need to collect as many signatures as possible for it.

Please forward this to any groups that you belong to.
Thanks

RE: Teaching others to Take Care of Their Share

Hi Betsntom,

You and I are on the same page. While I'm constantly bombarded with well-meaning family and friends telling me that I "have to buy a gas-powered lawn mower," this is what I tell them: "While I am the steward of my little piece of this planet, I'm going to do it right. I might not be able to stop pollution and global warming single-handedly, but I won't contribute to it - not on my watch!" (I use a reel mower, by the way. Yes, it's harder. But I get exercise, it doesn't pollute, it's better for the grass and it's quiet!) I've gotten one or two neighbors to come around to this way of thinking, but we have a long way to go to rid the planet of the thought-process that says it's easier to hire a lawn service, without even asking about what kinds of products they use. (to say nothing of whether or not their workers are legal. And before anyone slams me for being anti-immigrant, a woman just a few miles away was murdered in her own home in broad daylight by an illegal lawn service worker.)

Let all we idealists stand up and proudly do right by Mother Earth!
