The FlorAppeal drive has begun -- a fundraising effort of global magnitude for creating the largest, most unique botanical garden in the Western Hemisphere. If you would, please take a moment to visit the FlorAppeal action portal at http://florappeal.blogspot.com to facilitate the greatest botanical creation of the modern age.

RE: Botanical Initiative

I am flabbergasted. A zoo for rare and endangered PLANTS. There are, of course, many possible candidates because there are many relict and otherwise restrictive environments where such plants hold out against competition. Others survive because of special conditions of particular sites.

What are the chances of many of these rare and endangered plants surviving far from supporting habitats, including special biotic and abiotic soil conditions? Or those that require assistance of insects and other fauna for reproduction?
