-we (meaning the human species) have managed to discover a new bird, take pictures, record the vocalization, and collect a few feathers, without actually killing a specimen for display. Is this an historical first? The new bird is named Bugun Liocichla, & it was found in the Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, located in northeast India, near China. Ramana Athreya is credited with the discovery. There is a photo, & more information, on a web-site operated by Birdlife International.

I wonder what it tastes like?? ;o)
Just kidding of course. Nice to see something "new" as opposed to the many species that have vanished.
