Live Oak for cooler climates?

| I absolutely love the Live Oak tree but I live in Middle TN so most likely am not able to grow it here (Q. virginiana). Does anyone know if there are cultivars available that will survive in my zone? Are there hybrids that closely resemble the Live Oak that can tolerate cooler zones than the coastal Southern US? I've seen Oikos' website but the hybrids listed there use the Shrub Live Oak or the Live Oak % of the hybrid is too small to resemble a true Live Oak. Any help is appreciated! |
