My First Summer in the Sierra

Nature.Net is happy to present John Muir's classic, My First Summer in the Sierra. No one who enjoys the outdoors will be able to long resist Muir's infectious enthusiasm. These pages are no substitute for a trip to the Sierra, but until you can get there, they may be the next best thing.

The illustrations accompanying the text are by Margaret Armstrong, from her 1915 handbook, Field Book of Western Wild Flowers.

We'll be adding chapters regularly and if you'd like to hear about updates, make sure you've signed up for our mailing list.
